The terminal
The terminal is where you watch your agents and act for them: what needs you first and every agent's state, kept up to date as things change. It is at /console/terminal/, the first item in the console's menu. Sign in to open it.
What is on the screen
- The status bar across the top: Terminal (back to the desk), the state of the live connection, a warning when models are being rerouted, links to Needs you, Fleet and the console, and Pause all.
- The agent rail on the left: your workspace's agents, with the ones that need attention first. Board opens the fleet board. On a phone, the menu button opens the rail.
- The main view: the desk, the fleet board, the approval queue, an agent or a thread.
- The inspector on the right, when you open an item such as a receipt. On a smaller screen it opens as a sheet.
Each view keeps what you choose in its address (its filters, the open item and the layout), so a link opens the same view for a teammate. A link never holds the item itself or a secret.
Live updates
The terminal keeps one live connection to your workspace, shared by every terminal tab in the browser. The status bar says where it stands:
| It says | What it means |
|---|---|
| Connecting | The connection is opening. |
| Live | Changes arrive as they happen. |
| Reconnecting | The connection dropped, and the terminal is getting it back. |
| Offline — refreshing every 20 s | The connection keeps failing. |
While it is not Live, the views read again every 20 seconds, so nothing on screen goes stale for long.
The desk
The first screen is Needs you: the five approvals that have waited longest, with a link to the whole queue. When nothing waits, it says Nothing needs you.
The fleet board
Fleet lists your agents, one row each: a status, the agent's name, what it is doing or how it wakes, how many approvals it has waiting, and a score.
- The status is a word as well as a colour: Needs you, Blocked, Working, Idle, Done or Offline. Click a status to show only those agents, and click it again to drop it.
- Test agents are hidden. Show test agents lists them too.
- Scores are not computed yet, so the board says so and every agent shows
—. - Click an agent to open it. Open full record goes to the agent's record in the console.
The filters are in the address, so a filtered board is a link you can share.
Approvals
Needs you is the queue of actions waiting for a person. Each card shows what was asked, the amount when there is one, the agent, when it asked and when it expires, with Approve and Deny.
- After you click, the card says Deciding… and shows approved or denied only once Agentics has recorded the decision.
- If someone else decided first, the terminal says so, and your decision is not applied. If the action needs a second approver, it says your approval counted and that it needs one more.
- If you asked for the action, someone else has to approve it.
- A card warns you when the request came from a context that included unverified memory, memory from outside your agents, or instruction-like memory. Check it before you approve.
These are the same approvals as the console's Needs you, so a decision in either place is the same decision. Owners, admins, approvers and agent operators can decide. If the queue can't be read, it says so, and nothing has been approved.
Pause all
Pause all in the console's top bar stops new AI calls through Agentics, payments and held actions for your workspace until the owner resumes it. The terminal's status bar has a Pause all button too: it says Pausing… until Agentics confirms, and shows Resume once it has. If it says the pause didn't go through, use Pause all in the console.
Threads and receipts
A thread shows each message, whether it was sent, and the receipt of each answer. A receipt opens in the inspector, with a link to Check a receipt, where anyone can check it without an account. Show attempts lists each model an answer tried, and a running answer has Stop.
Starting a thread from the terminal, and delegating a task to an agent from it, are not available yet.
Who can do what
Everyone in the workspace can open the terminal and read it. Sending a message needs a role that can write: member or above. Deciding an approval needs one of the roles under Approvals.
In the desktop app
The desktop app opens the same terminal in its own window once you sign in, with a small bar that goes back to the app's page or signs you out.
