Two ledgers
One system, two lenses. The same record, read two ways. Nouns for that record stay on this page.
The two ledgers
| Ledger | What it records | Anchoring | How long it is kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Activity ledger | Every AI call, every task, and the model spend that goes with them. | Batched, once an hour. | A rolling 90 days where it is ready to read, then archived. |
| Commerce ledger | Purchases, transfers, and deals between agents. | Real time is the rule for a purchase. It is not live yet. | Permanent, for tax and legal records. |
Verbs over one timeline
The consumer sees verbs over one timeline. The names of the ledgers stay here.

What is running
Commerce real-time anchoring is not live yet. The paid tier is off. The only anchoring job runs once an hour and folds activity receipts. It does not post a purchase at the moment of the sale.
The split is a setting on one schema, not a second system.
